An stounding coincidence, as the news broke that Charlie Kirk, founder and head of the enlightened traditionalist movement Turning Point USA, had been assassinated, I was sitting in the Oval Office of the White House across the Resolution desk from the President of the United States. Although I have known Mr. Trump for more than 25 years and have generally been in touch with him throughout that period, I had not seen him in person for some years. Brad Raffensperger Launches 2026 Bid for Georgia Governor The secretary of state entered the crowded Republican.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has announced he'll be the latest high-profile politician running to be the Peach State's next governor. Raffensberger, who became a national figure after he was asked by President Trump to "find" 11,779 in the 2020 election, joins a crowded field to replace Gov. Brian Kemp, who is leaving office due to term limits. In a video announcing his candidacy, Raffensperger highligh ted his work on Georgia's elections, touting a 2021 Heritage Foundation survey that found the state was first in "election integrity'' as well as his Christian faith and business acumen.
